Andy - That one's already built in. You can even select the color for the admin/author comments.

I don't have the featured post built in, but I did keep the feature section and made it much easier to use. You can now use multiple widgets in the feature section, and I added multiple widget support for the footer as well. Hopefully I'll be releasing it later today.

Hi,
Great to hear about the featured post. Can I suggest another one? The ability to have different styling for comments by the author as opposed to comments by everyone else, a la http://rmarsh.com/plugins/highlight-comments/

Regards,
Andy

Hi Ryan,
My only reservations are the absence of the Home page Feature box and replacing the analytical code box to include only Google Adsense.I suppose i can work around this and use the theme editor to input Yahoo and others. I have a post coming out on the 10th @ 10.05am GMT, hopefully this will support you further.

Keep it real, Bill

@Andy - I've been playing around a little bit with a featured post in version 2 using WP 2.7 stick post feature. I have yet to decide if it's something I'll implement, but I have considered the "featured post" option.

Thanks for the comment!

Hi,
Great theme - thanks for sharing.

A way to highlight certain posts would be great, by which I mean a key post on the front page highlighted with a different CSS style etc.

Hope that makes sense - not sure how you'd go about recognising which post to do this with, but I'll leave that to you :-)

Regards,
Andy

Thanks for the donation! I appreciate both the cash and the feedback!

The next version of the theme, which will hopefully be released next week, includes some really cool changes. First, you'll be able to change the header image much easier. No more uploading and overwriting the existing header. That was kind of a screwy way of doing it. I'm including a selection of headers with the theme that you can change from the control panel.

You'll also be able to change the color scheme theme-wide by selecting one color. Also, I've implemented a jQuery colorpicker, so you can choose from millions of colors instead of just the limited pallets in version 1.

You'll still be able to fine tune the colors as you want, but this makes it very easy to change the header, title backgrounds, links and navigation colors with one selection.

I also built in the option to go with a dark, medium or light color scheme in the options page. The new theme has a lot of grey in it, and this option lightens or darkens the grey areas.

Threaded comments for WP 2.7 are built in, but I still need to make it backwards compatible with older versions.

There are a bunch of other changes, with a more attractive overall look. Much more styling went into the new version, and I've been going non-stop for about 4 days now.

Just a few kinks to work out and I'll get it up to the server for download!

i just donated a small amount since i really like the theme and already made several sites using it.

I also modded it a bit so i can include CBProAds Clickbank Ads, instead of Adsense.

What i really, really miss is how to use custom headers and images, or a download section with custom headers/images.

Just a quick note to those of you in need of new or themed header graphics. I'm going to be creating some new ones and need ideas for them. I'm going to use themes like "affiliate marketing" or "nature blog" or "my personal blog" types of themes. The will probably include photos or graphics that match the theme. So if you have any suggestions for new headers, shoot me an email through my contact page.

Hey Everybody

I was having a problem with the search box text and text background being the same color in the new version of his "Flexibility Theme for wordpress.

If you are having the same problem know that Ryan came up with the fix.

Ryans' Solution;
Go to WPs Theme Editor
Look in style.php
Look for this line of code;

#header #searchbox {
	margin-left: 28px;
	margin-top:6px;
	margin-bottom: 3px;
	width: 140px;
	background: url;
	border: none;
	color: #FFFFFF;
	font-size: 11px;
}

Look for the line; background: url and change url; to
none;

Thanks again Ryan.
