Hi – thank you for your awesome theme – Can you please offer some help -

I wanted to add links to external pages in the top Navigation bar… and I have tried inserting the code as

<li> <a href="http://www.myotherpage.com">ANOTHER PAGE</a></li>  in <div id="nav" in header.php with no success -nothing shows…

Is this possible?

where would I put the code?

I know there is a plug in – linkto that does it – but that seems like a cop out !!

Thanks

PS Surprised You actually almost had me drooling watching the vid about the flexsqueeze… amazing stuff – well done

You are doing it correctly. You place your exact code above after this line:

<?php echo preg_replace('@\\<li([^>]*)>\\<a([^>]*)>(.*?)\\<\\/a>@i', '<li$1><a$2><span>$3</span></a>', wp_list_pages('echo=0&orderby=name&exclude=&title_li=&depth=1')); ?>

BUT, look at the header.php code closely.  There are actually 2 different sections of code with a <div id="nav">, depending on if you have your navigation above or below the header. So you're probably just putting your code in the wrong one.

Do you know what I need to do to keep the style settings? When I do the over, it adds in the link but the formatting & colours etc. are messed up.

Thanks.

I found a cool plugin that works like a charm for adding links to your nav bar.

It's the page links to by Mark Jaquith

No coding required…

I LOVE that I found this plugin
