Is there any way to replace the backround themes with an image or a custom theme i choose??

The easiest way would be to overwrite one of the included background images in the images directory.  That way you don't have to mess with editing the code.  Just find a repeating image that you like and save it as a png image named the same as one of the images in the drop-down menu.  Then upload the image to the theme's images directory, set that image as your background, and it will repeat in the background.

Make sure the new image you upload is the exact same name as one of the existing background images and you are uploading into the /backgrounds directory within the /images directory.

For example, one of the images is named bricks.png.  Just create the image you want to use, save it as bricks.png and upload into the background folder. Then go into your theme settings and change the background to 'bricks' and you should see your new image.
