Hi,
I've customized my theme quite a bit, but I can't get the title background
color in the top sidebar widgets to change via the 'Flexibility Theme Options.'
I'm not sure of what else to try. Does anyone have a suggestion ?
Thanks,
Jeff

Jeff, please post a link to your site so Ryan can take a look when he's online.

Thanks Leon,
I guess a link would have been helpful.

As long as your changing the option titled "Top sidebar boxes title background color" it should change the background color. Your sidebar code looks fine.

This is just weird.
I just did a CTRL-F5 and reloaded the site. I had a couple of downloads
going too, so it loaded slow. It changes to the new/selected color for the
“top sidebar boxes title background color,” but then it changes back to
the default color of A10000.
I did remove the following, as per your instructions Ryan. Would
that somehow cause this ? Other than that, the only thing slightly
different is, I'm using Brad's new ReviewAZON plugin and 3 of the 5
widgets are from the plugin, but I haven't heard of any such problem
in the RZON forum. It's a fantastic plugin and seems to be very stable.
Sorry, I'm obviously not very good on the
technical aspects of this.
In sidebar.php, remove lines 64 (div class=”Categ”> to 69 (closing div) and lines 87 (h2 Archives) to 96 (ul close) and that will remove the default content in the right and left sub sidebars, but still leave them widget-ready.
Thanks,
Jeff

In case anyone runs into the same problem, when I went to another
installation using Flexibility2, where I hadn't removed the aforementioned
code, everything (color changes) is working as it should.
I'm going to double check by reinstalling the theme on the blog in question
and then change the colors again without removing the code. If it works ok
I'll then remove the code and see if it breaks it again.
If it does the same thing (breaks it), I'll change the colors first the next time, and then
remove the code I don't want. If that breaks it, I guess I'll live with the code.

Cool site, Jeff. Can you share what plug-ins you use?

Hey Redtail,
For the Amazon stuff, that's the 'ReviewAZON' plugin….ReviewAZON.com. (Not an Affiliate Link)

Hi,
I am also having trouble getting the title background color in the top sidebar widgets to display without the grey gradient background. I verified that I have the "Show Background top gradient" set to "No". I also read a comment on a different post where you mentioned to try adding "#bgwrapper {background-image: none;}" to the last line of style.php. That did not work for me.
I need to have the navigation bar to be a light blue shade (i.e. HEX: D4FBFB). But instead, I am getting a blue shade, with a grey gradient background.
I am not able to get it to work. Any other suggestions? You can find the site in question at: http://www.karenmarrow.com/
Thanks,
Michelle
