Hi Ryan

I'm having a similar issue with Link and Hover colour. Post Text Link Colour is as install A10000 Post Link Hover Colour is as installed 000000. There are no additional plugins being used. Here's the blog http://johngwass.com As you'll see link text colour is light grey and hover colour is white [it disappears so I'm assuming it is white]

Any suggestions?

Simon

You have some invalid code in your posts.  You must have an extra closing div tag or something that is prematurely closing the postwrap div, causing the link styles to not be applied correctly.  Double check your posts and find the offending code.  It doesn't help when you're pasting in from Word.  That adds a lot of unneeded code to your post.

Hi, I'm having the same issue. The difference is, I'm experiencing it on my MAMP installation. It's a "fresh" WP install – no posts other than the default "Hello World" post. So I'm guessing there's more to it than invalid code in posts. And I have deactivated all plugins so there's no chance of conflicts.

Not sure what else to do here. Any ideas?

Is it only those colors that you can't change?  ie: everything else is working A-OK?

Hi Ryan, it seems everything else is working fine. Just the links. If it helps, my website address is http://befitandstrong.com.

Looks like you have an unclosed div somewhere in your code. This is caused by placing code in your posts or sidebar with an opening

tag but no closing

tag. This causes the theme layout to break, and the style for the links will not apply correctly. I ran your code through http://validator.w3c.org and found this:

Line 622, Column 7: end tag for "div" omitted, but OMITTAG NO was specified
You may have neglected to close an element, or perhaps you meant to "self-close" an element, that is, ending it with "/>" instead of ">".

Double check that you haven't pasted some invalid code somewhere in your page. The individual pages have the same issue, so I would be inclined to think the invalid code is either in your top or bottom feature areas.

Thanks for the help Ryan. I'll be going through it today.

The individual pages have the same issue, so I would be inclined to think the invalid code is either in your top or bottom feature areas.

That would explain why my xampp install shows the same problem. I was messing with the feature areas – changing content.

Hi Ryan. Just wanted to provide an update. I couldn't see any problem in the code, so I simply reloaded the feature content that came with the theme and it fixed the issue. I then, very carefully, made the changes I wanted to make. All is well in the world. Smile Thanks for the support.
