Can we change the default h3 tag for the header to an h1 tag?
When i tried editing the header.php file from h3 to h1, the bloginfo title became a smaller size font and also became aligned top/left in the header. Not a good look.
I just want to make the change for seo reasons.

Well, that's not something you would do in the header.php file. You need to edit the instructions in the style.css page. That's where the blog gets its instructions for font details.
