Hi,

I'm using the free Flexibility2 theme on my websites.  While looking at the source codes for my websites I noticed that there are no H1 tags used.  Also the Blog Title is under a H3 tag.  Does this not hurt the sites SEO and cause it not to rank as well?

I read somewhere that the for good SEO the Blog title should be an H1 tag so it appears first when the spiders read your site. Have I been misinformed.

I'm very new to the SEO game and dont know a whole lot so just trying to learn here. Any help is appreciated.

I don't use H1 tags on the site title because that's identical on every page and doesn't do you any favors for SEO. The page titles are H2 tags, but you can go into the single.php and page.php files and change them to H1 tags. They are styled using the pagetitle class so they "should" retain their styling. I wouldn't be too worried about whether your titles are H1 or H2, as much as whether you have good content on your site.
