Can anyone tell me how to eliminate the navigation menu in the header? If there is specific code in the header.php that needs to be removed I can do it, however I am having difficulty finding the exact code to modify.

Hey sorry I don't have an answer, but I have the same question. Instead of getting rid of the header, I changed the header to "simple" and the colors to blend in with the background.
However, I do want to get rid of it entirely.

Well I just figured it out.
1. Go to the theme editor in wordpress and go to style.php
2. Find "Navigation Menu Settings"
3. Delete the entire section until you get to /*– Header search box styles –*/
4. Click Update file and there you have it
After you delete it there will be a little gap between your header and you blog, but it doesn't bother me to much and I think I'll just leave it.
