Sorry that I am techie challenged, but I must be doing something wrong. I don't get how to make the changes 'stick' when choosing light (instead of dark) and dual sub sidebars (instead of single sidebar) in the Flex 2 settings. All the other changes I have made 'stick' but not these two. Could you tell me how to fix this in "newbie / non-techie" instructions.

Also – how does one clear their Cache or whatever it is, if this is part of the reason why the changes won't stick.

The option doesn't "stick" but it's not designed to.  When you change it and then save, it makes changes within the theme settings. You should then be able to refresh your blog and view the changes.  They will always default to 'dark' and 920px layout.  To clear your cache in FF, go to Tools > Clear recent history and select the options to clear.  Other browsers are each a little bit different.
