I am very new to customizing word press and let me say this theme is amazing. How would I go about removing the recent comments section on the side bar?
Also is there a way to make the Categories section look like the recent comments/recent posts/about my blog? How would I do that? Thanks so much for the help and for this amazing theme!

You'll need to go into your dashboard which is your domain with /wp-admin/ . Look under "Apperance" and you'll see "Widgets". The various "sidbars" contain the widgets you want to customize.
