I want to remove the sidebars from the home page and have the content area cover the entire area while all other pages to have the sidebars as normal. Is there a way I could this? I would greatly appreciate it if you can show me how :)

I haven't tried this, so I don't know if it will work…
In the Flexibility Theme Options section (under the Appearance tab), click on the Blog width link. You can start playing with the numbers there. Maybe not giving the sidebars any width will work. But don't quote me on that! :D
