I set up a feedreader account and entered the URL in the E-mail subscription box in the Flexibility2 Theme editor. When you click on "subscribe by e-mail" on my blog it does exactly what I want it to do when you click on the RSS icon. I want to get rid of subscribe by e-mail and set up the RSS icon to connect to the feedreader. How do I do this?

I've noticed the same thing – clickingon "subscribe to RSS" doesn't bring up the nice page that comes up when you click on "subscribe by email."
One way around it is to just turn off the RSS display in your header and use a WordPress plug in like "Add to Any: Subscribe Button."

It's because the Subscribe via RSS is for feed readers. The subscribe via Email option is for use with Feedburner and other Email RSS services. The RSS is always visible, the via Email option is optional.
