Theme Layout Changer Won't Save Changes to dual sub sidebars

I have tried and tried ( and tried…) to change the Theme Layout Changer to dual sub sidebars, but no matter how many times I click on save changes, it goes back to the single sidebar option. The same thing is true of the Theme Lightness Selector. I cannot get it to "stick" in the Light mode. Any ideas? All the other changes I made to the page is "saving"…

I have another problem. Whenever I insert a picture into either a post or into a text page on the sidebar, I cannot see the picture. I was thinking it was because the picture may be too large, but when I inserted social media icons that are only 32 x 32, even these don't show. All I get is a view of an empty box. Is there a set size the images must be or they won't show. How does one reduce the size of a picture before uploading it? Anyone know how to fix this? Big Sigh….

I was having a similar problem until I notices that this theme works different from any other one I have used when installing widgets. With most, you drag them to the right column to the sidebar topic area where you would like them installed. If you do that in Flexibility, they show up temporarily and then disappear. The way they need to be installed is to click on the "add" button next to the available widget category you want and a wizard will open for you to make your installation choices.

@Susanne and James:  Those settings aren't designed to "stick" after saving.  When you save, javascript changes the relevant color and/or width values and saves the settings.  If you go and refresh, you should see the new settings. But they don't save in the theme settings.

@Sue: I don't honestly know what the issue with the images is.  You can control image size settings (somewhat) when you insert images into posts via the insert dialog. I have no problem inserting images on my test install.

@jjasonw: Not sure why the different widget activation. My test WP install works fine when dragging widgets into the sidebars.
