Can anyone help me figure out why my feature box has dissapeared? It dissappeared after changing some options in WP "settings". I went through each setting…general, writing, reading etc. adjusting things as I need them, but when I went to refresh the page after saving the changes, my "feature section" disappeared.

  1. I have the visibility toggle set to yes in the feature area settings
  2. I've been through all my other wordpress settings trying to figure out what I did.
  3. I've thoroughly searched the code to see if I messed anything up.
  4. I've even re-installed flexibility2 to, hopefully, overwrite whatever I did, but….still no feature area.

Any suggestions??? Please help if you can. Thanks!Smile

Did you try doing a theme reset to return it to the default settings?  Did you alter any of the actual page code?

Yes I did both. Then I re-installed the whole theme and it still wont return. It's wierd. What could cause it to remain gone after re-installation on the server??

Hey Ryan,

I've re-installed Flexibility2 to ensure all code has been reverted to default. The feature section, however, is still missing.

I'm assuming it's a setting issue in wordpress at this point. After two days of trying to figure out why the feature section took a walk I've learned a lot about WP in general, so it's not so bad….I needed the learning experience.Laugh

BUT…I've been stuck, unable to make progress on the blog for the last two days trying to find this needle in the haystack Cry…I need to move on. 

I will wait to see what you have to say this evening when you respond to your new post. If you have some other suggestions, I'm all ears my man.

If not, I think I'm going to try and re-install wordpress alltogether. I have everything else ready for the site (graphics, text, ect.) but don't want to go through the work if I'm going to have to re-install WP anyway.

In your experience, if I re-install WP will I be able to retain my username and password? Will I have to set up a new account?

I won't hold it against you if you're not sure bro, I'm just lookin for some insight.
