Custom graphics for Flexibility theme
Flexibility allows easy customization by simply replacing the images used in your blog. Images are categorized by (click to jump): Transparent Headers | Non-Transparent Headers | Header Spans | Repeating Backgrounds | Static Backgrounds | Search Boxes | RSS Feed Icons
How to use these images
To use the images, simply download the files and save them to your computer. Then, either unzip and upload the files via FTP to the Flexibility theme images directory or use the WP Easy Uploader plugin that is included in the theme zip file. If you use the included WP Easy Uploader, we have added the images directory as an upload option to make it easy to change theme files. When you upload a new image, make sure the “Overwrite existing files” is checked. The uploaded image will overwrite the existing image and can be previewed immediately.
Header graphics with transparency
These images allow the header background color to show through, so you can choose ANY color for your header, not just the colors shown. The header graphics are just the background effects and do not include the search box or RSS icon. Those can be downloaded below.
RSS Icons
Download any of these RSS icons, upload to your images directory and replace the RSS icon that comes with the theme. The backgrounds are transparent so the icons will work with any color header. Some icons courtesy of Bittbox and Smashing Magazine.

Header span images
These images can be used for the header span image that is customizable within the theme. It will automatically repeat across the top of the page behind your blog. Upload the image into your images directory of your blog and put the file name including the extension in the theme option for the Header Span Background Image.
Semi-transparent PNG images
These images are transparent and will “tint” your background the color of the image. The gradation is 50% at the top to 0% at the bottom. The longer graphics are 600 pixels in height and the shorter ones are 300 pixels.
Download instructions: Righ click on any image and select “Save Picture As” or “Save Image As” and save the image to your computer.
WARNING: Clicking on these images results in an instant preview on this page which is kind of fun and can lead to a lot of wasted time.
Left click to preview any image. You may want to select a repeating background image from the selection lower on the page.
Opaque header span images
These images are not transparent and work seamlessly with some of our header graphics. To create a full-width header look, set your blog top margin to 0 and your blog border width to 0. Then use one of the images below as your header span background image.
Fade Header span images
The following images work seamlessly with the Fade Header style (download above).
Download instructions: Left click on the image you want and download the image that appears in your browser. The hex color code on each graphic is the color you can use as your header background color to give it a seamless appearance. Use a black navigation bar background for the perfect look.
Repeating Background Images
These images can be used as repeating background images.
Download Instructions: Simply right click on any image and save to your computer. Then upload the file to your images directory and specify the full image name in the theme control panel for Blog Background Image.
To preview backgrounds, simply left click on any image.
Search Box Graphics
These images can be used to replace the default search box graphic. The blue background will be replaced with whatever color you have chosen for your header background. The examples shown use the Minicheck header background graphic to demonstrate the transparency included in each graphic.
Download Instructions: Download the zip file for the graphic you want and upload the search.png image to your images directory. It will overwrite the existing search graphic and be live immediately.

The image to the left should be used with the search box top margin set to 0 and looks best with a black blog border. |
